Despite hundreds of thousands of reports to the contrary, nobody actually laughed at last week’s bat video. They just think they did. The avalanche of cry-laugh emojis does not reflect what really happened. Yes, we were all supposed to laugh because it’s a dad in shorts trying to catch a bat loose in a kitchen, and, yes, it felt like you did laugh, but, no, you didn’t.
